Digital Printing
Need to include photographs into your sign or banner, we have the technology to do it.We have a variety of materials to print on from photo quality paper to outdoor banner or fine canvas painting material.

Our digital printers offer the latest technologies coupled to the most cost effective printing methods using our solvent based ink printers or our UV curable flatbed, capable of printing directly onto almost any flat surface under 50mm in thickness.
When it comes to the materials we use for digital printing, only the finest will do. Although more expensive than other available options, they have far superior adhesive qualities and better ink penetration. This results in richer colour saturation and longer outdoor life. For additional durability exterior prints are covered with a UV laminate (unless specified). This protects against premature UV fading, helps reduce scuff marks, assists in graffiti removal and makes the surfaces easier to clean.

Computer Cut Lettering and Graphics
Vinyl lettering is the perfect choice for use in many sign projects.It can be successfully adhered to virtually any smooth surface, including sign panels, A-boards, banners, boats, vehicles, windows and storefronts.
The vinyl we use is renowned for its superior adhesive and anti-peeling qualities. Vinyl generally bonds well onto any surface that is painted with a smooth, glossy enamel, automotive acrylic or two-pack finish. It will also adhere well to glass, acrylics, painted wood and painted metals.
Vinyl lettering does NOT adhere to cement, raw timber, oxidized or faded paint, rubber, bare metals and oily surfaces.
Traditional Signwriting
Yes, we still hand signwrite!As computers and digital printing have become increasingly popular, this age old traditional skill still has a place in our company. As technology races ahead there is still and always will be a place for traditional hand crafted signs.
In some instances, such as signwriting a large sign or mural onto a brick wall or corrugated building, hand-painted lettering is simply the most successful and cost-effective method of completing the project and achieving outstanding results.
3D Lettering

Acrylic is also known by the brand name Plexiglas or Perspex. Acrylic is a substrate with a glossy finish and is perfect for a sophisticated, high-tech look. It’s an excellent product for the customer who desires a high quality finish. Because of it's glossy nature acrylic signs can be subject to glare problems. It is susceptible to scratching easily and can shatter or chip upon impact.
Alpolic
Alpolic is a polyethylene composite sheet with an aluminium top cover. It is gloss on one side and matt on the other. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. This lightweight and rust-resistant substrate is one of the most rugged sign materials available. It is easily machined and cut and can be successfully bent to produce a neat and attractive fold.
Signwhite
Signwhite is made from Colorbond steel, and is well-suited for short or long-term outdoor usage. The substrate is relatively lightweight, weather-resistant, and rust-resistant.
Corflute
Corflute is an extremely lightweight and versatile plastic sheeting. It is an excellent substitute for poster board or cardboard as it is more durable and versatile. Its surface is not affected by most oils, solvents or water, so it may also be used outdoors. We use 5mm cross grain corflute for its greater strength to weight ratio and superior crease resistance
The Signdoctor uses a variety of other substrates for special needs, such as polycarbonate panel, MDF, weathertex and common metal plates such as aluminium & stainless steel.

Fabrication
The Signdoctor has in-house fabrication facilities where we fabricate and manufacture a variety of signage solutions.Unlike other places who buy in boxes and frames, we custom everything, allowing us to quickly and efficiently solve a variety of problems with mounting and manufacturing your signs.
We manufacture ALL of our own lightboxes for illuminated signs, and therefore are not limited to any size or shape.
We fabricate our own frames and mounts for signs of all kinds.
We even manufacture full pylon signs in house, lightboxes, posts, mounts and all.
The Signdoctor also specialises in the erection of hoardings for large signs and billboards.
Virtually any finish can be applied to your finsihed fabricated signs, including painting, powder coating, clear coats, varnishes and more.
Payment Information
We accept payment by Cash, Cheque and Direct bank Deposit, and also have full EFTPOS facilites for debit cards and credit cards.Invoices are sent by mail or email, usually once the work has been completed.
All invoices have a 7 day term unless otherwise arranged.

You can supply your artwork in person or by mail on a flashdrive or on cd/dvd, please note we do not accept floppy discs.
Or you can email us artwork under 5MB in size.
If your artwork is over 5MB please Contact Us for a private FTP account.
Preferred File Type
The preffered file types for print are: TIFF, EPS, AI, PDF or JPG
Prefered file types for computer cut signs are: EPS or AI
We also accept source files from the following software: ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE CS3 or below, CORELDRAW X4 or below and FLEXISIGN 8.5 or below.
If you compress your files please use only ZIP or RAR compression.
Things to consider when designing your artwork
Please ensure all bitmap files (TIFF, JPG) are flattened and in CMYK colour only.
For Vector files or combination vector and bitmap files, please ensure the vector parts are in CMYK and all fonts have been converted to curves.
If any colours need to be matched please provide PMS colours or samples to match to.
Due to the nature of cmyk inks and the varying colour gamut produced by digital printers, we cannot guarantee to match all colors.
We do however get as close as possible with our machinery and we will always consult you if unsure.
Please include a minimum 5mm bleed on all mounted prints, and consult us for bleed on other signs.
please do not include ANY registration, crop, or bleed marks unless instructed to do so.
